IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER
Working hours: 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Chelmsford, Essex
The objective of the system engineer is to spearhead IT developments for the company in line with the strategic goals and help achieve competitive advantage through the implementation and improvement of technology.
The role will encompass aspects of IT Architecture, development, maintenance, testing, fixing, support, secure and redesign of both software and hardware IT infrastructure.
The Company has ambitious plans to change its on premise solution to the cloud and change its ERP system to Microsoft Dynamics CRM & Business Central. The candidate will need to familiar with the set of coding languages required to change processes and adapt the IT infrastructure to business requirements.
Other key areas of development will be EDI and API and integration of business processes with Customers, Suppliers, Warehouses and Carriers. Maintenance and performance analysis must also be carried out to ensure the flow of information is secure and consistent.
The role also includes cyber security and training of staff on best practices to help avoid data leaks or fraudulent activities.
The systems engineer will help maintain good overall health of the organisation’s IT infrastructure and will be at the front of IT innovation in line with business goals. The candidate will support the other departments / functions of the business improving processes and achieving automation where required.
The candidate must be familiar with ERP systems and business process management. Familiarity with Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI is a great bonus.
